I had software problems with my new phone its a 7200. what type of phone do you have?? The newer nokias are known for software problems if your phone is only 8 months old you be be able to take it to the Nokia centre in your capital city and they should upgrade your software for nothing. Doubt very much the sim card was the problem I would pretty much say that it couldn't cause those problems. Are you sure that there are not any international settings still on your phone?? maybe take it back to where you bought it first so they can check it for you before you get a software reboot as you will lose any ring tones, phone numbers, messages, videos you have stored on your phone.
