I stayed there last month and although it is looking a little tired there are no renovations happening; the air-con is quiet and efficient; the breakfasts are great; the staff are friendly and I really enjoyed it. Only saw Saphir Mabisa from the outside but didn't look in the same class - but it is more central. Hope this helps.
