I have found one of the best Balinese restaurants in and it's not even in Bali! It's ‘Wayan's', a small Warung in Geelong (Victoria, Australia). Beck and I are from Melbourne but make the journey down to Geelong because the food is that good!
We have eaten at ‘Warung Agus' in North Melbourne (right next door to my work), and although the food there is good it does not compare to Wayan's.
You can get a Mie Goreng that is to die for for just $12 and that also includes: rice, the egg on top and two chicken sate sticks on the side. I'm a big eater and couldn't get through it. Or for $20 you can get a fish and coconut curry. A night at Wayan's can be a very cheep night out or an expensive one it's up to you but the food is fantastic no matter what you order. I am yet to find a dish I don't like!
Once you get to know Wayan she loves to have her friends in the kitchen with her when she cooking (if your interested and the restaurant isn't very busy, not to upset other customers) and she loves to sit down with you and have a chat if your interested. She is a very friendly and very welcoming.
Although Wayan's is a fantastic restaurant you can see that some times she is doing it hard with a lack of customers in the Geelong area willing to try Balinese food (she serves Balinese food as apposed to Indonesian). Any one needing a ‘Bali fix' should give Wayan's a try!

She is open from 11.30am till late Monday – Saturday (but if you let her know in advance she will even open up on a Sunday for you). Tell her that Danny & Beck (the ones from Melbourne that lost there camera) recommended her restaurant to you and she will look after you.

I VERY RARELY RECOMMEND ANYONE ON THE BTF BUT WHEN I COME ACROSS A LITTLE GEM LIKE WAYAN'S I HAVE TO SPREAD THE WORD!
