We booked this year's hotel on-line last year. They refused to take our credit card details. They sent us their bank details and requested that we deposit the cost of one night's accommodation direct into their account. Which worked fine, until we checked out and found that their bank had charged for the deposit (I don't remember how much). I made a very tiny fuss and the hotel absorbed the bank fee. No problem.
