You should fare far more than well, and far better than most "first timers." Two adds to your "don'ts" from me would be: 1) Don't rent a self-drive vehicle, either car or motorbike, and 2) Don't visit places like Monkey Forest, or the temples that house communities of macaques. Enjoy your stay!
