to sound like a kid at Christmas Time but like you all we cannot wait to get there. All tickets paid for, 18 of us (including a few kids) heading off into the Island of Gods on the 11th Sept from Melbourne flying Air Paradise and I can just picture landing there and breathing in that first breath, the smell, the heat, the awe!!!!! WE'RE BACK!!!!!!! Gee I love it!!!
Seventh trip for me personally and I find for me its just like landing for the very first time every time I go there!
I love everything that Bali has to offer but most of all this trip I cant wait to catch up with my "Bali Girlfriends" I met out the front of the Jayakarta Hotel last August and whom I promised to bring back some "special presies (mostly items of clothing) for". Nyomen, our "nana" of massages and respect most importantly, has asked me to bring her a jumper. I think I have packed 13 of them already LOL - I am really looking forward to seeing her especially but also too her daughter and other ladies that work there. As the tourists were very far and few between last August when we were there, I was privledge to build a special relationship with these women, one that I hold dear to me and with the upmost respect for. I can't wait to take to them, the items that they asked me to bring them back - shoes for their children, clothes, underwear (mainly bras) and anything that I didn't need that they might!.
This will be the HIGHLIGHT of my trip! I can see myself walking down the footpath to the Jayakarta with a suitcase on wheels - cant you!!!! I cannot wait for this day to make someone elses!!!!!
Anyway, what I wanted to let you all know - who don't already - is a few dates to catch up with some of us FORUMITES and others at S&S's beautiful beach sunset at Kuta for a few Bintangs and the like - I would love to meet as many of you as possible. We will be there on the 15th & 20th Septemer and the 2nd October.
Hope to have a laugh, drink and share a story or two with anyone who can come along.
