from 1st timers- promise!
Worst place for "runs"- I am in the rural fire service- so it was not "out bush" or when in the worst toilets imaginable- am used to that. NO- it was about an hour out from landing, about 4am, about 10 rows from the toilet on the full plane. The stomach gave the message that it was going to be a bad bout....and a long one, requiring multi toilet trips. but Garuda had jsut announced that we were to return to our seats, the seat belt sign was on, they had asked that we dont use the rest rooms!!! The heat waves were washing over the body, there was not an option of getting up, walking to the loo and finding the door locked..... standing up meant no turning back!! NO OPTION- I HAD TO GO- TOO bad if they thought I was some kind of terrorist intent on disobeying instructions. Bite the bullet and run!!!! OK trip 1 over, asked to return to my seat on leaving loo. But landing took so long, needed to go again BADLY- would I make it- had Garuda's blanket wrapped around me in case (yuck)....wait for plane to stop and seatbelt light to go off- everyone rushing to get bags out- isle blocked..... "excuse me" not working...... "out of the way- Bali belly BAD".... boy did that work, although it brought heaps of laughter- (not from me). Eventually got out of loo to find plane empty apart from 16yr old and flight attendants.... where was the next toilet? found (and visited) EVERY ONE OF THEM on the way out- last through customs- no wait at least!! That was definitely the scariest part of our travels!!!
