Every room has a hairdryer that work well. If it's out-of-order, you can organise one through housekeeping.
No need for electricity adapters as there are also multi-prong powerpoints that take most types of plugs, including the Aussie 240 volt. The only thing to watch out for is the amount of power output is different (lower) than we're accustomed to - 220 volts (I think) - which means your appliance will not work to total efficiency/power output.
