having just got back from 1st time a few weeks ago- the following we found invaluable:
Antiseptic wipes- small pocket packs, used them often as a precaution, especially in out of the tourist area places.
Tissues- small pocket pack- toilet paper is not always available!!
$$$- as saksimata suggested ( and we found) a fat wallet does not mean you have lots of money (by our standards)- and you cannot always find ATM's.
Roadworks- don't walk on any timber covers across footpaths- they can break and you fall into the drain- saw someone else do it!
Traffic- it will take about 3 days before you realise (and get comfortable) with the fact that a tooting horn behind you does not mean you are about to be hit by a car!!!!
