I walked thru the grounds of Patra Jasa last week for a "look see" after staying there 4yrs previously and wanting to see what its like following the renovations.
It is just gorgeous looking now (previously rather tired). The pools are exquisite. Suggest you book a room or villa fairly close to the pools and beachfront otherwise it can be quite a walk from those down the back.
Good restaurants: Pantai and Green Garden very close walking distance. Also, Green Garden Resort and Spa (across Rd from Patra Jasa) has fantastic spa facilities. I spent 3 luxurious hours there for only $37AUS last week. Very short taxi ride to Kuta main shops about $1.50.
