in five years of dealing and flying with Garuda I have never experienced or heard of a major problem with them. All airlines have delays and Garuda have their share, from Adelaide I can recall only twice in the last five years of a delay of 24 hours and this was for safety reasons. As for the quality of the food, coming from Australia to Bali their catering is done in OZ. As for safety I have visited their training and maintenence facility in Jakarta and it is world class, they are acutally one of the few Asian facilities licensed by Boeing to do a complete overhaul of their aircraft. They have also received in recent years an award from Amsterdam Airport for being number one for on time performance. Before someone asks, no I don't work for Garuda but i do sell their product along with dozens of other airlines.
