I was at a BBQ some months ago and the host had some device that cost aroung $200 he said he bought at a boating and outdoor leisure store. It was about the size of the old brick mobile phones and you plug it in before hand to charge it and then unplug it and insert some sort of a scent thing I think. I am not sure if perhaps it also works on some form of radio frequency wave also but is meant to keep mossies at bay for at least 200-300metres and last 6 or 8 hours from memory. When I asked him if it really worked he said he didn't know it was the first time he'd used it but at that price he reckoned it would have to! If anyone else knows the answer I would like to know.
