I've stayed at Angsoka twice and Bayu Kartika twice. The rooms in Angsoka were great (having only stayed in the most expensive ones). I was at Bayu Karika in March and found the room very ordinary, verging on the shabby side, after saying that I did only pay Rp70000. The pool at Bayu Kartika is something else, just divine and set in a vast area of gardens, including a great pond full of fish. Another plus for Bayu Kartika is the fact that it is right at the beach, although surrounded by large fences. I guess depending on what your priority is, I mean you only sleep in your room. Oh, the cafe on the corner, just down from Bayu Kartika on the beach has good food at a great price, not sure what it is called. Also at the end of that street is a volleyball court, to the left of that is a small stall, there are a few ladies who sell clothes/fruit/massage/manicure, one in particular named "Putu", she is a good friend of mine. Another friend Ketut makes pendants from shell and coconut shell. Enjoy your trip. Dea.
