I was in Candi Dasa last year mid to late August and the local fishing boats were bringing in some good catches.
I don't fish myself, haven't got the patience. I used to go spearfishing, but now I just go in and look at them. Quite a lot of fish around Amed and Candi Dasa, particularly if you go out in one of the boats.
If you plan to stay in that area, we'll probably be there about the same time.
