our first trip to Bali was in 1981 then again 1982 then children our first son had extreme allergies and unforunately peanut was one of them which was really rare back in 1983. I remember that everything I ate back then tasted of peanut oil. So we had a 20 year break between trips because of his allergy. We went back in 2002 and I could not believe the changes. So last year we took our sons and I was prepared ventolin, phenergan he ate everything except sates and we mostly ate at warung 96 in Bensari street being older he knows as soon as something touches his mouth that it contains some sought of peanut but to our amazement no problems. So he came again six weeks ago and again the same medicines with us and no problems I am glad to say. Just be prepared that is all I would suggest but I tell you I wish I had returned much sooner to this beautiful paradise.
