Suggest do Kuta for first week then take the boat to Gili islands off Lombok for a week then return to Bali and spend some time travelling around the island...by the end of the month you will have fallen in love with the place and keep coming back...like the rest of us !!!
Try Kuta Puri at the bottom of Poppies#1 or Masa inn on poppies 1 for good cheap accomodation and Gili Trawangan island
