If you are in Kuta... Take 'transport or hire a scooter(s)... Head to Sanur.
You will probably be picked up pretty quickly be escourts on bikes who will guide you to their watersport place... Don't be intimidated... Just follow.
When you get there - negotiate a deal or if no good... Head down the beach a few metres and negotiate a deal with them...
Continue until happy... You'll have a great time and get a good price.
