I too am a lover of seafood of practically any variety but recently when I visited my doctor and told him that I was going to Bali, I asked him if there was anything I should avoid. He said salads and crustaceans but I've eaten crab and prawns there before without a problem. He may be talking about oysters and mussels. The fish in Bali is beautiful - especially red snapper. I like my seafood cooked plainly (grilled or bbq'd with a bit of butter) so if you want to make sure you taste the seafood, I'd suggest you let the chef know how you want it cooked. Otherwise you'll only taste the sauce rather than the seafood.
