We stayed there last year and found it a lovely hotel.
rooms were very nice inside and we had an area outside for table and chairs.
It did not look tired to us at all and one of the guys at the tourist desk had the best grasp of english language (slang and all)
We booked for a delux room which included entry to the garden delux club (free drinkies and snacks etc...) the atmosphere there was a bit stale though.
We did find alot of Japanese tourists there and brekkie was more focused on them.
