mine are 8 and 10. They love the pool also and spent a lot of time in it. Yes it is small, but it is also more intimate and private than some of the bigger resorts.
My kids lovedddddddddddd this hotel. I think it had something to do with the fantastic restaraunt - with great room service!!!! 24hour TV with 38 channels - including nickelodeoan and disney, and our rooms (room 17 and 18_ we about 6 steps from the pool!!!!!! Great rooms.....
My advise for staying at this hotel would be.....
1. relax its a good clean hotel - right next door to a mini mart - great owners and they are very good at emailing and conversing any problems or concerns you may have
2. Yes waterbom is so close we went 3 times during this trip
3. The food at the hotel is good - further away from Kuta is the Palm Cove restaraunt, of course you are not far from Kuta square and several good places to eat there. There is a very big place as you walk to Kuta - but noticed hardly anyone in there - so chose not to try it
4. Spray your room for mossies each night - they are an issue
5. If your TV doesn have the 38 channels ask them to change the Tv - some did - some didnt. The ones that didnt - didnt have one of the kids channels that my kids loved.
6. There is the cheapest DVD xbox shop straight across the road from the hotel (Pssstttt tell him my Barbie Swan Lake didnt work!!!! - ha ha ha - but all the others did)
7. The position of the hotel on the one way kinda road - with the road works is the only small negative - hence the fact that I ended up walking most times rather than bothering with a taxi. But look at it as a positive (I lost 2 kilos!!!)
8. If you are still worried about the pool - just sneak into another hotel and use theirs!!!!
