toys, etc. Took some to an orphanage in Tabanan along with some food & lollies for the kids. We took baby clothes & blankets to Ibu Robin's clinic in Nyuh Kuning & bought some of the craft there that had been made by local teens. We took rice and fabric to Adopta. We shopped at Adopta's shop. We happily paid more than we probably should have for a lot of our shopping. We tipped nearly as much as our meals cost. We left money & toys behind when we went to see salt being farmed & also when we went to see palm sugar being made. We gave cab drivers a day's pay every time we caught a taxi. We returned home with our suitcases full of locally produced items. We still, after 3 weeks of this, had a VERY cheap holiday and for everything that we gave we got so much more back. Love to hear of others doing the same, it's the highlight of a holiday. Cheers, Sue.
