is Desa Munggu, Kec Mengwi. A couple of years ago we were invited to our (Balinese) friends house for Galugan. The whole village joined in a parade, all young men under 30 carried huge poles and at every cross roads performed a mock battle in honor of a 15th centuray king. There was a wonderful party atmosphere. There was a little ferrise wheel for the kids powered by two men, one on each side who pushed the wheel round with bare feet while the kids sat in little seats and squealed. Everyone was out on the street having fun. I was told this only happens in this one village.
