Stayed at the Padma only a week ago and found it very tired, and in need of an upgrade. It was school holidays but too big for me and was disappointed. We had dinner at the Santika Villas and saw their rooms, question, why would you want to leave the Santika Villas and go to the Padma. Stay at the Santika and enjoy pure luxury, you wont get it at the Padma believe me. The Padma is nice but not in the same league as the Santika. As for being in the action, take a taxi and when you want to be out of the action, leave. Anyway have a nice trip.
