I bought quite a few packs of sea salt from Janet deneefe after the cooking classes. Janet collects the salt from Padang bai area. It is the 'sweetest' salt I have ever tasted. I have asked Sharon, who is staying in Amed in August to please buy me some salt from Amed.
Customs were not at all interested in the salt. They just asked why on earth I would be interested in bringing it back into Australia. Janet had had the salt analysed and said it has 73 minerals compared to regular table salt which has 3 minerals, and bleach and anti clogging powders etc.
