Hi Jarrah,
We went to America a while ago and had been there about 3 days and went to get money out of the atm. Put the card in and tried to withdraw about $500 of my credit card. It came up with a big fat declined. I have to say I felt sick to the stomach. We were going to be there for 6 weeks with what appeared to be no money. I was having a fit. Hubbie as usual needed food. So we are sitting in a restaurant and I couldnt even eat thinking where is all the money!!!!!
We were just about to ring my brother in law who is our business partner to go and put some money into our credit card when I realised I had hit the cheque account button like I normally would at home instead of credit. We had drained our cheque account and put all our money into the credit card. I cant tell you the relief I felt.
Like you when in bali or anywhere in asia I am really careful using the credit card. I very rarely use it.
