You can go alone.
Go a couple of days before expiration though.
They might say something is missing.
Or just go a few days beore and ask them what you need.
The new guy who works at the imigrasi window,

is MUCH nicer than the guy
that was there a month and a 1/2 ago.
So hopefully you will not have a problem.
The only thing is that you need
a photocopy of your sponsors KTP/or ID
and they may ask for the original.
Go properly dress.
There is one particular officer
who will give you a real dirty look if not.
