was a bit worried during the taxi ride from the airport, going down the grotty laneway that leads to the hotel but was relieved when we got inside the hotel complex. it was like an oasis in the middle of the squalor of the laneway.
one word of advice though - pack some earplugs!
we didn't have any problems with other guests being noisy but the early morning wake up calls of roosters crowing & motorbikes roaring down the laneway at the back of the hotel were pretty loud. I had to find a pharmacy selling earplugs after the first night.
my only other gripe was that our room was on the top floor of the 4 storey complex & the stairs are a bit much after a long day shopping (or a long night partying!)
