I had a funny feeling that may be the case but fingers crossed.I may try & check with some trades men type clients of ours as to types of glues available as Sinter said.It didn't cost much, but we are not sure if we'll be back in January or not to get another one (depends on Mum & Dad's health)& the lad is ready to get cooking, especially with the 2 lovely cookbooks I bought at bargain basement prices in Bali.
Our teenage son eats like a horse & I think we'd have no show if we tried to cook using only one, there'd be nothing left! Funny thing is we went out last weekend & cause of Mum still being in hospital an old Aunty & Uncle minded him. They said exactly the same as both Grandma's do " He ate us out of house & home,we love him dearly but would sure prefer to feed him for a weekend than a week" I expect these words surprise no Mum of a teenage son though.I still can't get over the fact that I have a roast dinner ready to serve up & he goes & buys hot chips around the corner & still asks for 2nds of the raost.Where do they fit it ?
I suppose we shouldn't expect much more from a teenage boy though,he's grown 3 1/2 inches in 6 months & went up 3 shoe sizes in 6 weeks. He's got hollow legs.Needless to say the budget is truly being stretched with buying clothes & shoes to fit him.My girlfriends think it's a laugh cause I'm a bit old fashioned & give him worm tablets every school holidays - just in case.
BTW - any more ideas or suggestions will be gladly appreciated re fixing the satay dish.I don't reckon superglue etc would do the job but exactly how hot would it get with a few coals in? Surely I should be able to find something to fix it.
