Hi, Umalas stables run by Sabine and Ralf Kaufmann in kerobokan does horse riding on the seminyak beach which lasts around 2hrs thereabouts. I think they provide transfers from the hotel both ways. They do a paddyfield and sunset beach tour as well. prices are around 50US for the beach ride if you book with them. don't know if you'll get a better rate if you look around. Oh, they do riding lessons as well.
It takes around 1/2 hr to get to the beach from the stables, and you will pass a mostly residential area and some schools. The beach tour passes the Legian, Oberoi hotel, Ku de ta etc.. before you backtrack on yourself to get back. V enjoyable.
