If you search for "Griya Santrian" in the archives, you will find quite a few posts (some of which I have made myself). But here are my comments anyway.
We love the Griya. Have stayed there 3 times, and will be there again next year. My husband and I travel with my sister and her husband, and none of us have ever had to kneel in the bathtub to have a shower. There have always been separate showers in the bathroom, as well as the rose in the bathtub. The rooms right at the back of the grounds are really quite large (we stayed there last year), but this year we stayed in the rooms right behind the garden pool, and they were a little smaller. You could probably get two foldaways in the big rooms at the back, but then you're going to get the noise from the live bands at Lazers Sports Bar most nights.
Yes, the rooms are a little tired, but so what. All you need is a bed to sleep in. Who is going to spend a great deal of time in the room when you're in Bali? And don't think about the TV. It's absolutely crappy.
My suggestion? Book the rooms, and if you find them unsatisfactory when you get there, I'm absolutely certain the hotel will upgrade you. Have a wonderful time. I'm green with envy.
