I am not able to help you re the markets, i have never been there but can highly recommend the Warung Marina Restaurant. It is located down an alleyway behind La Porchetta Restaurant which is about 70 metres or so on the Kuta side of the traffic lights at Jl Melasti. The alleyway leads down to the Hammerhead Fitness centre. If you check the archives you will find a lot of favourable comments about this place. The food is very good, the staff are friendly and best of all the prices are very reasonable for food and drinks
