I don't think I have ever seen a microwave in Bali! Why not buy a little plug-in hot plate and a pot? Donate hot plate to someone when you leave. These would not be as expensive as at home.
I read somewhere aboutholding wax block against the plate of a clothes iron to drip wax? You can get basic irons at Makro for about 25,000 and I suspect Matahari in Kuta Square would have some too.
