Amazing eh who you 'talk' with on the computer. We had a few days in Singapore on the way over, then had an 8 hour stopover when we came home. Our bags went home straight from Bali to Chch - we carried handluggage only for the 24+ hours it took us to get there.
No problems with the DVDs - we had them all in a plastic zip folder (can buy them in most DVD shops in Bali), having taken them out of their covers when we bought them. Didn't see any need to declare them on any customs forms. Can't speak for Singapore though - you could probably get a hold of their customs regulations on the net somehow.
We stressed about bringing them home and it was no bother at all.
Singapore Air is certainly the best airline we've flown with (we've all travelled). Bigger seats and tonnes of movies and games to choose from on your own screen - we were the equivalent of economy class. The kids were treated really well and the meals were great.
Where are you staying in Singapore?
Our home e-mail is ianculli@paradise.net.nz - write to us there if we can help with any more info. Heather
