I've seen several inquiries here regarding Dreamland Beach. I've just uploaded an additional 100 pics or so. The beach pictures towards the end are of Dreamland. My take on Dreamland, the name is appropriate. The beach itself is very nice and the water is a clear, turqoise blue. Deceiving though as the ripcurrents and undertow are STRONG and inconsistent. You can be safely wading one second, and the next....you're struggling to get to the beach. I was a lifeguard in the US for 6 years, competed professionally as a bodysurfer for 12 years, and completed almost 2 years of swiftwater rescue as well.......the beach still got me!! The important thing is, remain calm should you get caught up in a situation. Anyway some other recommendations....Dreamland is somewhat isolated and I don't imagine that the food at the warungs there gets much of a turnover. So, you may want to consider bringing in your own food or deli sandwich. We ate there at Dreamland and became victims of the feared "Bali Belly". Surfboard rental for me was 50,000 rph....I say "for me" because I watch other people 100,000 to 200,000 more so remember to bargain a bit. Loungers rented for 20,000 rph for us.....we got 2 and the umbrella for that price. We took a BlueBird taxi there and our taxi driver waited for 2 1/2 hours for us.....total metered cost was like $7 USD....we felt bad and gave him $20 USD which seemed to make his day!! If you're going to surf, bring your own surfwax and a pair of booties would be good too as there is some reef out there. Other than that, sunblock is key and don't forget to drink plenty of water. Hope this is helpful.

J
