It comes in all sizes, shapes, price and quality. Some of the best contemporary artists, trained in the best art schools of the world, live and work here. But, at the opposite end, it seems even the least trained artisans can still produce a wonderful decorative item.

Let your eye be your guide. If you are buying for re-sale, and you like it, the chances are good someone else will too. So, go for it. If you are buying for yourself, try your best to buy the best. Handicrafts and souvenirs have a way of "tiring" with time...to the flea market or garage sale? Art, on the other hand, grows with you over time...your appreciation and your understanding. The beautiful fact is, that here on Bali, one can buy junk or treasure, for about the same price. It's not up to the seller to determine, rather, it is up to you. Good hunting!
