No you are not being mean we experienced about 20 of them last year At the Villa Bintang and our room was in the middle of them. While the parents were down at the pool till all hours the kids ran riot. We were woken as early as 6.00am with them banging on our door instead of Grandmas. Complaints to the Management was met with "we always get complaints about the Taiwanese". My neighbours are Taiwanese and for some strange reason they don't enter through the front door. They come and go through the garage door which makes a racket everytime. Lovely couple though.
