Yes, there was a very impressive cremation in the first days of February 1979 for Jokorde Gede Agung Sukawati and his close friend Rudolf Bonnet (whose body had been flown to Bali after he died in Holland).
The cremation of the King of Gianyar, Ide Anak Agung Gede Agung, was scheduled for October 4th. but the date might have been revised. His wife was cremated in autumn 1992 in Gianyar, and many TV teams and well-known personalities from many countries came to attend the ceremony as the couple had spent time in several other countries, the husband as Ambassador of Indonesia.
