We have travelled to Bali with our kids and other families often . The accomodation really depends on waht you want . We don't like the large hotels and would recommend the Melasti Beach Resort at Legian (has about 75 rooms ). The rooms are good , you can get interconnecting or suite rooms similar to the Patra Jasa. The smaller size of the hotel makes it a bit more personal. We feel more comfortable letting the kids move around the hotel wothout us as the staff all get to know who they belong to quite quickly. But Bali has a lot od choice , other friends like the bigger hotels like the Dynasty and Jaykarta , both have family rooms.
