There is of course some truth in all this debate, and I can understand some people getting upset at the rip offs and high prices charged by some businesses and individuals. I have had holidays in both Bali and Thailand in recent years and I love both places. Sad to say that although its not impossible to be ripped off or even overcharged in Thailand I found it to be a very rare occurrence. However, sad to say that in Bali it just seems to be a way of life. The Hotel prices are the worst. I found accommodation in Thailand to be much cheaper than I did in Bali on an equivalent basis. I will for sure revisit both Countries again but sad to say that Thailand will see more of me than Bali.
Can I pose a question to stimulate some debate: ' Is Bali destroying itself by greed for the dollar ? '
