Hi,
No need to go to Denpasar as when I was in Bali in May this year,
you could get playstation games everywhere at 10,000RP and this is still the case as a friend of mine is in Bali at the moment and has picked up some games for me, infact they are 9,000Rp at the top floor of kuta square matahari store.
DONT get the conversion *chip ( as apposed to converter ) in Bali as they are of a poor standard, get your console fitted with a chip in Australia and you will also recieve a 12 months warranty with it.
YES. You need the chip to play ANY copy games ( Pal or NTSC ) bought in Bali. The chip is between $35-$45 fitted and then allows you to play either format. You will have to make sure your TV is ntsc compatible ( usually all models less than 5 years old are now NTSC compatible )
Cheers shar^kie
