You should be safe at 8pm if you leave Lombok in the morning - but prebook and arrive early or you could end up on a much later flight than anticipated. I would leave Lombok the day before (as late as possible) and spend the night at somewhere like Tuban with late checkout (5 minutes from the airport). That way you have minimum aggravation and don't waste a day in paradise stuck in Dempasar airport if your Lombok connection happens to be on time.
Don't mean to sound negative about Merpati but we witnessed a tourist who missed his overseas connection because he was last on the plane and they miscounted at the gate. It's very much first come first served even with a booked ticket.
