Allow me to response your posting that burried below regarding MEDAN, my second home town. Born there years ago and still know every corners of the city of smile - MEDAN -, very, very well.
About the plane, you're right, a few of them went down in 1995, all of them are GARUDA. Infact one of them (which I flew) from Medan to Batam, the oxygen masks pop out for no reason. Scary, huh.?
About the fires and haze, you're absolutly wrong, wrong...wrong.!
There is never been a haze in Medan it self.
The only BIG fire in Medan was in the 70's known as 'Fire of Tanjung Tiram' 70 km south west of Medan. Don't you know,????
