OK. Let me get this straight. One is unable to experience Balinese culture when resting their head on a 5 star pillow. Honestly, it sounds a bit like sour grapes. If YOU believe that you are getting a better bang for your cultural rupiah and that makes you feel better about where you stay and spend your money then GREAT! However, there are those of us that appreciate beautiful places and impeccable service AND manage to venture into the same streets that you sleep in to experience the local culture! So please dispose of this bitterness that this list holds toward "the finer things". Rich people are people too! Ha ha ha ha ha!!
