Hep A & B are probably advisable, and you have to have 3 doses of twinrix for both - cost $70 a pop. Need to have the 3 to have proper immunity - and you are covered for a number of years. Have them over a 6 month period I think. I had 2 before I went to Africa, and the third when I returned. The side effects are minimal, you might feel off for a couple of days, but other than that no problems. It would be wise to update tetanus, diptheria, polio ect - these are all free in Australia. Tetanus is painful - your arm will hurt for a couple of days afterwards.
