We stayed at Club Med (7 nights) during July '99 with our 3 kids and found it to be absolutely fantastic! The kids are 4,5 and 7 years old (all girls) and there was just so much for them to do. Club Med is situated at Nusa Dua, just down the road from the two Sheraton properties. There is a row of 5 star hotels that seem to pretty much have the run of Nusa Dua.

If you are looking to experience the "true" Bali (as some people like to say) then you won't find it here. What you will find is a superb resort with all the facilities you could possibly imagine. The cost for land content only (not including airfares) was $157.00 per adult per night and $95 per child per night. This included all your meals, unlimited soft drink and beer and wine (by the bottle!) at lunch and dinner. The food was completely amazing, the restaurant is set up buffet style, with practically everything you could imagine to choose from. There are 3 restaurants at Club Med, the main restaurant where you may eat without reservations, then the other two require reservations (these have more of an intimate atmosphere) Each night is themed, ie. Chinese banquet, Italian, etc and you really can find just about anything you can think of. Needless to say I am starting to resemble one of the elephants I rode!!

Club Med has heaps of activities available, snorkelling, glass bottom boat rides, golf, kayaking, archery, gym, aerobics, circus school (fantastic!) wind surfing, etc. - all of which are free. The only thing you pay for is jet-ski hire. There is entertainment each night, with cultural dancing, comedy shows, circus shows, and a disco/bar operates until the early hours. There is something available all the time - I was initially a little concerned that everyone may be expected to join in - this WAS NOT the case, if you felt like lazing by the pool everyday, nobody hassled you about joining in. You could do as much or as little as you liked. They operate an outstanding kids club, that is structure into about 5-6 different age groups and the kids just loved it.

The price may seem a little expensive when you first see it, but that is all inclusive, and really you don't have to spend another cent if you don't want to. We are definitely going back again. If you'd like anymore info; feel free to email me.
