Hotel Barong was a great cheap place to stay. Room very clean, great atmosphere around the pool (back pool has far more action to front)
No trouble with crowds. Just one tip - when you arrive if you have a room in the front section ask for one out the back. They are new rooms and superior in quality. When we stayed we booked direct and was only US$25 per night per room. Service was terrific as is throughout Bali. Have a great time.
