Hi Kimba,

We (me, my wife & two kids) flew Merpati for the July school holidays.

They were ok as long as you you like yukky food, warm beer in a plastic glass and very slow service. They hand out immigration and custom forms about 15 mins before landing so you dont have much time.
Also dont look toooo close at the airplan. We noticed a few things loose and broken.

But what the heck, they got us there and back safely in less than a two hour flight each way. Pity the poor buggers that have to fly to Sydney, Melbourne or even worse Europe & North America.

The beauty of living in the Pilbara is that flying to Bali is oh so close.

Cheers

Bazza
