I guess I'm not qualified to answer how good it was as I will be going for my first time in October. And I missed the beginning, I guess that was the part they showed Made's because I didn't see that. It was hosted by Jennifer Tilly and Ali Landry, who each took turns showing a different aspect of things to do in Bali.
JT did a section on bartering and bought two live chickens and two fish, with very poor bargaining skills if I do say so myself :) I was looking more at the background to see what the markets looked like. Then AL did a bit on getting a massage. JT then did a bit on the monkey forest, and also a massage with the flowers thing. Basically the massage bits were to glam the program up a bit for the viewers I think. Attention grabbers, you know. AL did a part on rafting, that was pretty neat, I think when hubby saw that he was interested. Also there was a part on Jimbaran Bay, it was nice to see it live and streaming video, of the fish and prawns in the coolers and such, and the tables on the beach, with the sunset in the back. Looks like a go to me! they also did a part on meditation, and a part showing how the offerings were woven/made and how the offerings were given to the gods. Interesting, even though I doubt that's how the balinese do it in everyday reality, because it was like an outside class that was being taught. there was shots of the clubs and nightlife, and people talking about how it was the best because everythings so cheap, geared toward the hedonistic aspect that some go there for, but not for us, I don't think we'll see that side of Bali. There might have been more.
But I was glad I watched it because having never been there and on our way, everything about Bali is interesting and the more I know about it, the more excited I get. Oh yeah, they also showed the bird and reptile park, with the albino snake everyone mentions, of course!
