Depends what you want to get done, if you are looking at HepA & B together you require only 2 injections, if you are looking at HepA alone because you have already had a course of HepB, then you are looking at a course of 2 injections as well, if you are looking at only HepB, then that is a course of 3 injections.
There are two types of HepA injections, one of which is no longer recommended, and that is the one that is made from Human immunoglobulin, which is a human blood bi-product, as this cannot be guareenteed not to carry the HIV virus, as it is made from Human blood; the other HepA vaccine is not made from human blood products, and that is the one mostly being used, and lasts approximately 10 years, the other only lasted for several weeks.
COST IS NOT AN ISSUE when it comes to ONES HEALTH.......
you weigh it up.... the cost of injections versus the cost of contracting a disease that is at this stage incurable, and able to be passed onto other people, dont ever take the attitude...it cant happen to me, because I got news for you, it does happen.
