One of my favorite memories of bali was about 8 year ago. I was in some loud tape shop near Casablanca in Kuta. The music was played VERY LOUD!!!! Then someone put on "The Feeling Begins" a middle eastern sounding thing from Peter Gabriel's soundtrack to THE LAST TEMTATION OF CHRIST. Heavy percusion, wonderfull sound. Suddenly, everyone in the shop and in the street for at least a block in each direction stopped what they were doing and began a joyous, spontaneous dancing. The best part was noone fell through a crack in the "sidewalk" and into the sewer below!
